CLUB RULES

Safety

  • Students must follow instructions given by the club coach or instructor in charge of the lesson at all times
  • Not wear any sharp or hard objects
  • Keep noise to a minimum
  • Seek permission before leaving the mat or judo hall
  • Only practise the techniques they have been directed to practise
  • Never do Judo outside of a controlled Judo environment
  • Inform the club Sensei of any injuries or ailments they have prior to the class
  • Inform the club Sensei if any injuries or ailments happen during the lesson
  • Sit kneeling or cross legged when on the edge of the mat

Etiquette and Hygiene

  • Students should arrive on time for lessons
  • Show respect for their Sensei and each other at all times
  • Bow to Sensei and their partner before and after practise
  • Bow when they enter and leave the Judo hall and go onto or leave the mat
  • Wear clean unripped clothes or a clean unripped Judo suit for practise
  • Maintain a reasonable state of hygiene with finger and toe nails kept to a reasonable length
  • Keep hair below shoulder length tied back
  • Female students should wear a T-Shirt underneath their Judo jacket
  • Not wear shoes on the mats at any time
  • Students should not eat or drink on the Judo mat
  • All Iinkai members agree to only undertake Grading Examinations with a Iinkai approved Examiner
  • Always put footwear on when they leave the mat

Terms and Conditions

  • Iinkai operates a No Refunds policy with respect to term fees
  • In the unlikely event of Iinkai cancelling a lesson it will be rescheduled.
  • Every effort will made to make any rescheduled lesson as convenient as possible for students
  • Iinkai reserves the right to exclude students for unacceptable behaviour or safety reasons
  • Iinkai adheres to the British Judo Association's Child Protection Policy
  • The student / parent is responsible for deciding the size of any Judo suit ordered
